Craig was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Utah State University studying under Glen Edwards, Professor of Art in Illustration. His first job and mentor was Larry Winborg at his studio: Winborg and Winborg. There he learned the art business and in 1976 started his own art studio, Fetz Designs. For over forty years Craig has completed illustration and design work for clients.
​Craig was elected to the Society of Illustrators, New York, in 1976. His illustrations have been featured in New York, the Society of Illustrators Annuals, and illustration shows and publications.
