"The delightful, mischievous, boisterous, curious Cactus Wren has captivated mesince we moved to the southwestern desert in 2020. Cactus wrens nest in the chollacactus which blooms in colors that mimic the wren's coloration. Here I portrayonly the top portion of the cholla, giving it the appearance of a "bouquet" ofblooms. The wren is perched on top, supported by the sturdy cholla, the plant that provides it with perfect camouflage and a safe place to nest."
